The Liberty High School Patriots visited the Las Vegas High School Wildcats on March 27, 2025, and played against them in a varsity boys’ volleyball match. Despite the Wildcats’ home-court privilege, the Patriots triumphed 3-0.
The Wildcats entered the game with a checkered season record, having previously won and lost. They previously won 2-1 against Southeast Career Tech High School on March 1 earlier in the month. The team also suffered losses to Silverado High School and Catalina Foothills High School during the same period.
The Patriots were well-prepared during the game, countering the Wildcats’ strategies and able to be ahead in each set. Through this win, Liberty High School maintains a winning record for the season, showing consistency in their practices and coordination.
The Wildcats must get back together and focus on their upcoming games so that they can improve their standing in the league. Reviewing gameplay videos, refining strategies, and discovering methods of overcoming weaknesses will become important in shaping them.
Both teams showed sportsmanship and commitment, promoting the region’s competitive high school volleyball culture. Fans and spectators will be able to witness more exciting matches as the season progresses.
Jimfer Roy Aserdano, a player on the junior varsity team, said, “They’ll be reviewing over that game and adapting to it by implementing certain things that they’ll need, not just against Liberty, but for all games!” when asked how this game would prepare them for future games.
