The teacher for both Journalism 1 and 2, Ms. Guy, does an excellent job at helping students. This school year there is a reduction in the student count in our journalism program.
Walking into this school year, being in journalism wasn’t something I was looking forward to yet within a month it became my favorite. At first I had no idea what to expect from this class. I assume that’s how most people see the class, as a class that’s boring but there’s so much more to it. It’s a class where you have the freedom to not only voice your 
opinion, but also the opinion of all the students, maybe make a possible change.
In journalism, Ms.Guy teaches us fundamental communication skills that will serve us through life. For those of you interested, there are not many worries to have as long as you can communicate well with others for interviews. Ms. Guy shows us how to properly set up interviews, and gives everyone the opportunity to pick their own deadlines. We have the freedom to pick our own topics and discuss all together the many ideas we come up with.

This class provides opportunities to go out into the school and explore to find pictures for our “In The Wilds” section. You can take all kinds of pictures of what you believe would appeal to our LVHS community.
Overall Journalism is the class that helps you express yourself and expand your knowledge and writing skills. So for those of you who are passionate about any of that or are simply interested in at least one little thing, don’t be afraid to check it out and consider joining.
